tara moriarty ktvu channel 2 morning news. >> under this morning's storm watch. the heavy rain is tapering off and people are cleaning up from last night's storm. they are out there and showing us how to get ready for the storm. >> we are in between these two storms though we have seen some light rain and still people here in marin county know more rain is on the way into the evening and friday and they are certainly worried about the possibility of friday and a lot of people will be stopping by this sandbag station trying to make sure they can as more heads this way. the storm left a mess in a lot of areas and the rain triggered a lot of flooding just to the south last night and up in that same area there was a large tree that came down last night along highway 1 near marshal and that tree came down on top of some power lines. that same situation played out yesterday with this storm because the wind gusts toured and a lot of those downed trees led to power outages and we are dealing with all of the rain related problems and outages over the next couple of day

ktvu's brian flores live in richmond now. there are a lot of questions about how the teacher, brian, got hired in the first place? good morning. >> reporter: good morning. lots of questions and many shocked, shocked parents and administrators, as well. good morning to you, dave. yeah, more importantly, though, they are concerned that any background checks didn't pick up on any red flags or warning signs. even district officials admit someone dropped the ball in this case. many of those students actually saw the arrest of 33-year-old ronald david guinto by richmond police during school hours yesterday. they say he faces at least a dozen child sex abuse charges. 11 of those charges were lewd acts on minors. richmond school officials say they ran background checks on guinto back in december. even fingerprinting him, vetting, and even questioning him. at the time they say there were no warning signs to prevent him from being hired. what dropped through the cracks was charges from his previous employer. guinto passed the backgroun
